Please find below details regarding Smart Start Montessori's session times and fee structure.
Session Times
The session times for the preschool are Monday to Friday as follows:
Morning session: 9:00 am to 12.00 noon
Afternoon session: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Extended day: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Before ChildCare: 8:30 am to 9:00 am
Lunchtime ChildCare: 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm
After ChildCare: 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
The preschool operates during four terms per year. The dates of the terms usually coincide with those of the government primary schools.

Term 3 - 1 August - 7 October
Term 4 - 25 October - 20 December
Term Dates 2012
Term 1 - 31 January - 5 April
Term 2 - 23 April - 29 June
Term 3 - 16 July - 28 September
Term 4 - 15 October - 14 December
Our extended day programme gives children an opportunity to experience a longer preschool day (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM) in preparation for going on to Primary School.
Fees
From the 1 July 2007, the government introduced the 20 hours Early Childhood Education (ECE) policy.
So what does this mean to you, the parent?
Due to Smart Start Montessori being a private Preschool, fees are divided into two forms:
1. Normal Fees which cover hours not funded by 20 Hours ECE.
2. Optional charges which cover 20 Hours ECE hours that are subsidised by the government. The Optional charge is for specialist Montessori teaching and equipment.
So how does it work?
• The 20 hours ECE policy is available to 3 and 6 year old children.
• You receive up to 6 hours per day, to a maximum of 20 hours a week.
• 20 hours ECE starts when a child turns 3 and finishes when a child turns 6.
• You may choose to allocate the 20 ECE hours across more then one service.
Fees are paid by the term and are payable during the first two weeks of term. The current fee schedule can be obtained by contacting the Grange Road office.
OUR NEW HOLIDAY PROGRAMME.
Smart Start Montessori’s new holiday programme is open to all preschoolers aged from 2 ½ years to 6 years (Please note: children are required to be toilet trained).
The Holiday programme teachers are Montessori qualified and specialise in art and craft.
Our holiday programme will run for the last week of the school holidays – 23 Jan to 27 Jan 2012, at our Grange Road preschool. The term 1 holiday programme will run 12 &13 April and 16-20 April 2012. Term 2 will run 4-6 July and 9-16 July 2012. Term 3 will run 3-5 October and 8-12 October 2012. Term 4 will run 19-21 December 2012.
Please note that each term’s holiday programme does not run on the first two days, to allow teachers to prepare for the coming term.
Children can attend 1-5 days per week.
The charge for the programme from 9am-1.30pm is $36 per day with the 20 Hours ECE. For extended care to 4.00pm please add an extra $20.
The charge for the programme without the 20 Hours ECE is $54 from 9am-1.30pm. For extended care to 4.00pm please add an extra $30.

For the Jan 2012 Programme, please return the registration form as soon as possible, preferably before the 20th December 2011 as we close for Christmas, however voice mail and emails will be cleared on a regular basis thereafter.
